The Inn on Front Street is just a two block walk to historic Broad Street and Center Street, along which feature great restaurants, coffee shops, live music, award-winning local craft beer breweries, local shops, the Statesville Civic Center, the Federal Court House, and more.
Where to Eat There are a number of wonderful dining options in Downtown Statesville, but just to mention a few:
220 Cafe- A quaint, award-winning restaurant that offers contemporary American cuisine. Their menu covers the full spectrum, including healthier options, and they source locally when possible - so much to choose from and their chefs are exceptional. They also have a very nice wine selection.
Broad St. Burger Co is a 2-level restaurant, offering very good craft burgers (beef and turkey, but also including black bean burger options), wraps, salads, great appetizers (try the fried mushrooms!), as well as a great selection of national and local NC beers. Live music is often playing on weekends.
The Bristol Cafe is a cute, hidden gem that is one of our favorite spots for lunch. It originally opened as the Star Saloon in 1889!
Many restaurants in Downtown Statesville (including all the above) offer outdoor seating as well!
Maybe something before dinner? If you're interested in exploring the local craft beer scene, be sure to visit Red Buffalo Brewing Co, as well as Fourth Creek Brewing Co - both offer an *exceptional* selection of top-quality beers, including special seasonal beers that you are sure to enjoy! Both feature live music frequently. Another place with a great vibe is Wine Maestro. In addition to many delicious wines from all over the world, they carry hundreds of craft and imported brews, a vast selection of cheeses and other wine and beer friendly snacks. A really nice, relaxing atmosphere, with live music from time to time, and also offers outdoor seating options.
Looking for a charming local coffee shop? Look no further: Check out Lake Mountain Coffee. It's found inside a beautiful historic building that is a *must see*. They roast their own beans locally, and are a full service coffee house. Plenty of seating is available across 2 levels, with an incredible historic indoor wrap-around balcony, and they also have nice selection of teas, pastries, gifts and wines available.
Gift shopping? Visit gg's. In addition to a huge variety of well-known gift brands, gg's represents local and regional artisans, including a wonderful selection of handmade pottery. From beautiful handmade stained glass, local authors, artwork, hand-painted scarves and handmade jewelry, gg's will certainly have a number of things for that special person you're shopping for (and you, too!).
